Dear Reader,
Happy New Year!
2025 had its mix of crazy terrible acts of violence and hatred and hard trials in the world, but also goodness and humanity and beauty too. I have wondered how to have any amount of positive impact in such a world, and I’m not sure I have the answers. But I do believe that truly loving other people must move the needle toward building a better home for all.
Today, I am sharing a quote and a poem with you.
Delad glädje är dubbel glädje; delad sorg är halverad sorg.
-Swedish proverb that translates to “Shared joy is double joy; shared sorrow is half sorrow”
